Since 1983, Gator BBQ has been serving authentic Southern barbecue with a passion for great food and family traditions. Founded by Don Brown, known as the "King of Ribs," Gator BBQ earned a reputation across Canada and the United States by competing in—and winning—numerous BBQ competitions and Ribfests.

In 2006, Matthew and Louise Smith proudly took over the business, transforming Gator BBQ into a family-run operation. Alongside their children—Kurt, Nick, Aaron, and Alexis—they continue the tradition by traveling across Ontario and Western Canada, participating in more than 30 Ribfests each year and collecting awards for their signature barbecue.
Today, you can enjoy their legendary Southern BBQ and delicious pub-style meals at their permanent restaurant located inside the Best Western Little River Inn Hotel in Simcoe, Ontario. Whether you're craving fall-off-the-bone ribs, slow-smoked meats, or hearty comfort food, Gator BBQ is committed to serving unforgettable flavors with genuine Southern hospitality.
